St. John Neumann, CSsR, the fourth bishop of Philadelphia, was a tireless preacher of the Gospel to the most abandoned, especially those who were poor. Our presenter this evening will focus on St. John Neumann’s humility and self-awareness as keys to his spiritualty and sanctity.

Dorothy Day: Servant of God and Lay Benedictine
Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, is best known for her arduous work on behalf of those in need and her advocacy for social justice. Less known is the fact that she was an Oblate of St. Benedict. This presentation will offer an overview of the Benedictine spirituality of Dorothy which was the lifeblood of her social action.

presentation and discussions in the main conference room, followed by
evening prayer; the closing blessing is at 9:00 p.m.
The donation for these Monday evening retreats is $30.00 per person.
